The first full summer month is upon us, and while folks in Europe have been enjoying some premium soccer, the USA is still lagging behind with the restart of the major sports. Today we will take a look at what one can bet on at the online sportsbooks, or in other words, which sports are starting in June of 2020.
As always, we have to begin with giving props to the UFC, which continues to entertain fans and bettors alike. In June we get to bet on the UFC 250 card, with the main bout between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer. The fight will be on June 6th, to be exact, and you know the sportsbooks will have tons of betting markets and props available on the fighting event, not just the usual outright winner. Live odds are already available at most sportsbooks, check out our home page for a recommendations for reputable betting sites. Coincidently, June 6th is also eventful for the racing fans – NTT Indicar Series and the Genesys 300 are both on that Saturday. No need to mention that the sportsbooks will offer odds on these two, as well.
Our sports calendar for the month shows that on June 11th people who are really bored out of their minds and jonesing for sports can start watching the Australian Football League. We, like most people around the world, know nothing about the Australian FL, but welcome any sport willing to put on a show. The real problem would be watching it, considering the time difference, especially on the East Coast. Of course, on that date we will be watching the PGA Tour’s showing in Fort Worth, TX. Odds are already posted on the golf tournament, check them out at any sportsbook.
Mid-month is when most of the good soccer action in Europe is set to get back to normalcy. On Saturday, June 12th, is the opener of the Spanish La Liga, while the next day will be the resuming of the Italian Serie A. For any self-respecting soccer fan, those two leagues, along with the EPL, are must-see TV, and most bettors in the USA should also be able to pick out a few winners, based on general knowledge alone. And speaking of soccer, MLS is also set to resume mid-June, although exact date has not been announced yet.
And finally, something for the horse racing fans, time to dust those forms, because on June 20th is the run for the Belmont Stakes. The famous New York horse race promises to be one of the most bet on event that week, and the sportsbooks which have horse racing books have already began to post some early odds. For now, this is all the premier sports action planned for the month of June 2020, but we will bring you any new updates, should they become available.
