The Golden State Warriors are on fire in the 2017 NBA Finals and the sportsbooks may not be too happy about it. Fueled perhaps on their last year loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors are 2-0 so far in the NBA Finals with the game tonight in Cleveland looking to go their way once again, if the betting odds posted at the sportsbooks are to be trusted.
But the betting sites could hardly be happy about it. Let’s face it, even if the sportsbooks manage to balance their bets vi the odds they offer, truth is that the fewer the number of games in the NBA Finals, the fewer the bets would be. And the way Golden State have been steamrolling the Cavs, it’d be no surprise if the majority of the bets are heavily on the Warriors side, leading to some substantial losses for the sportsbooks. The game 3 tonight appears to be the litmus test on how the Finals will progress and not only the bettors, but the sportsbooks will also watch the scoreboard anxiously tonight.
However, consulting the popular online sportsbooks for the odds on
the Game 3 of the NBA Finals tonight, it seems that they are staying the
course. The most popular online sportsbook,
Bookmaker, has posted odds on the GS
Warriors to win the game tonight at -160, while the Cavs will be once
again underdog, holding odds of +140. The point spread on the NBA game
tonight is at -3.5 chalk the Warriors, but considering the double-digit
wins, it may be a bit on the stingy side. At
Bovada Sports the spread is already at -4.5 and as bets come in
tonight, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a drastic change. The
moneyline on Game 3, however, is the same as with Bookmaker, Cavs at
+140 and Golden State favorite with -160 to win.
