2023 NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round betting odds and point spread

We have finally reached the point many have been waiting for an year - the final eight will battle it out in the divisional rounds on their way to the Super Bowl 57. This weekend are the four important games and we will take a look at the betting odds and point spread numbers on each football matchup. So let's find out which four of the eight remaining NFL teams have the best chances to progress to the Conference Championships, according to the sportsbooks.

Jaguars vs Chiefs

The Jacksonville Jaguars are certainly the Cinderella story of this year's NFL post season. Overcoming some pretty hefty odds during their wild card game against the Chargers, the Jags managed to punch their ticket to the divisional rounds. Trailing by 27 points against the Chargers, yet managing to come back and win the game after a successful field goal by a point, shows that Jaguars, led by Trevor Lawrence, are not the team to lay down and take it.

However, the Chiefs have been there done that and will definitely be a much tougher opponent to overcome, with well-rested Patrick Mahomes & Co. So it's no surprise that the Jaguars are THE long shot of the week in the divisional round of playoff games. At the popular online sportsbook Bookmaker, the Jags are -9.5 against the spread, and the money line on Jacksonville to pull another stunner this Saturday are set at the whopping +410. At this sportsbook bettors can wager on the Chiefs' -540 line.

The sportsbooks are still expecting a lot of points this game, over/under at 52.5, but clearly most of them would come from Mahomes, rather than Lawrence. Bovada Sports also has the Jaguars - Chiefs point spread at 9.5 points, but the betting odds are a bit less generous, -550 on the Chiefs to secure their spot at the conference championship, while the Jags would pay on +390 money line.

Giants vs Eagles

The other Saturday game will see the NY Giants facing the top-form Philadelphia Eagles in this regional battle for spot amongst the final four. While finishing third in the NFC East, the Giants less than stellar 9-7 record was enough to give them a shot in the wild cards at the Vikings and they did not hesitate to take it. Winning 31-24 in Minnesota have them going against the Eagles on Saturday, an even tougher road game at the Lincoln Financial Center.

The Eagles finished the 2022 NFL season with just three losses, atop the NFC East, and the odds are clear when it come to the Saturday game against these two division rivals. At Bookmaker the point spread is set at -8 chalk the Eagles, who are also -390 favorite against the line. The Giants will pay out on +310 if they managed to deliver an upset this Saturday.

Bengals vs Bills

It is always funny when a team with a 12-4 record has to go through the wild card rounds, it's funnier when they face the second team of that division there. But that's how the Cincinnati Bengals made it this far, beating the Ravens 17-24 at home and upsetting another member of the Harbaugh family this year. Everyone felt sorry for Joe Burrow when he had to go to the Bengals, but he has definitely been an uplifting force, turning the franchise around and taking them this far in a short amount of time.

On Sunday they will have to face the Buffalo Bills, who also had to go through a wild card game against the rejuvenated Dolphins. With both teams failing to secure a rest before the divisional rounds it's no surprise that this is a tighter game for the odds makers. The Bills are still the favorite to win the game outright with a -245 money line, while the odds on the Bengals are +205 at Bovada Sports. The point spread is at -5.5 chalk the Bills, as well. But at the sportsbooks, the Buffalo Bills still hold the second best odds to win the Super Bowl, so this game will be tightly watched by many bettors this weekend.

Cowboys vs 49ers

And finally, the most anticipated game of the divisional rounds, the Dallas Cowboys vs. the San Francisco 49ers. We won't bore you with any previews, as we are certain you came here to see the odds and point spread on this game in the first place. The best odds can be found at Bookmaker, where the 49ers are the favorite to win with a -200 money line, while the Cowboys would pay out on +170 odds if they manage to pull it off on Sunday.
